Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need riding experience?

Our treks welcome riders of all levels, from first-timers to seasoned horsemen. All short rides — the 1.5-hour, half-day, and full-day options — are beginner friendly, with routes tailored to the group’s preference and spirit of adventure. If you are an advanced rider seeking a more challenging pace, let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate. For longer journeys, the experience can be more demanding, but not out of reach for determined beginners. The Hot Pools Overnight Trek is one of the more relaxed expeditions, with around 3–4 hours in the saddle each day, and many beginners have loved it. Other multi-day treks are generally better suited to those with some prior riding experience, as they involve several consecutive days of long hours in the saddle. That said, if you are enthusiastic and up for the challenge, we’re always happy to discuss it with you. Please note: the group always rides at the pace of the slowest rider, and if one guest needs to return, the whole group must return together.
